About me: My name is Louie Martinez, I was born in Los Angeles, CA, but I was raised in the coffee and sugarcane producing areas of Guatemala. I returned to LA just before I turned 13 and was introduced to the world of film photography through my father and his friends. I spent the next 5 years living in Hollywood.
I took photography classes while at Hollywood High and also at the Memphis College of Art.
While in the US Marine Corps (1991-1997) I also served as photographer (mostly aircraft and documentarian).
My areas of photographic expertise are the genres checked on my MM profile, if it is not checked, I do not do them, I also, occasionally, do random band album artwork, events and photo-journalism.
FOR Content-Exchange (TF/TFP): PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONTACTING ME OR AGREEING TO SHOOT WITH ME. THIS APPLIES TO MODELS, MUA/HAIR-STYLISTS, WARDROBE STYLISTS, DESIGNERS, ETC.
NOTE for content-exchange (TF/TFP): If you wish to bring an escort/s to the shoots, provide me with the name/s of the escort/s and make sure they have a valid ID on them to verify who they are or no shoot will take place.
If we agree to work a content-exchange shoot together I EXPECT YOU to keep your end of the deal. I will retouch and/or edit any heavy scars, unwanted or excessive tattoos or unwanted weight for the images I select for my own use.
MODELS: I do content exchange (TF/TFP) for models that I would like to work with, but otherwise charge. If you are interested in this form of collaboration feel free to inquire, this applies to male or female models. Also, if it's not listed on my photo-genres preferences, don't ask me to do it TF/TFP. If we do TF/TFP, I will use photographs of my personal taste for my own portfolio expansion, if you do not agree to that please don't inquire about content exchange (TF/TFP).
For wardrobe: provide your own.
Content-Exchange Shoots (TF/TFP) for nudity/erotic can be arranged in lieu of payment. These shoots require full nudity and erotic situations. Any images that are considered as 'finals' (finished, retouched, watermarked) and used on my website or published, are provided to the models for their own portfolios, websites, blog pages, or self-promotion. In the event of magazine publication, any payment is shared with the models.
* A Model Release, 2257 info and two ID's are required for all TF/TFP shoots. *
MUA/Hair-Stylists: I do trade work on two conditions I use models selected by me OR your model must meet my screening process. I will NOT consider you using your friends, relatives, etc. as models. If we do content exchange/TF-TFP/trades, I will use photographs of my taste for my own portfolio expansion, if you do not agree to that please don't inquire about TF/TFP.
PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO AND PRODUCTION STAGES.
I am also a photo-studio/production stages owner/manager and also have the equipment to embark on location shoots. The studio is near the 10 FWY in LA and near Culver City. As a photo studio/production stages owner I can produce or assist you in photography and/or film/video productions by providing you with a location and space on which to express your creativity and imagination.
The studio/stages consist of:
1. One bedroom (fully furnished) solely dedicated to production. Area: 350 square feet.
2. One controlled light/indoor set (props, furniture available). Area: 500 square feet.
3. Open space yard with grass lawn. Area: 1100 square feet. LA Mural on wall.
4. Dry climate garden with large shade tree and dining area. Area: 2500 square feet.
